Routines at home
Routines at school

The students are expected to do the following on a daily basis. If you are having any difficulties with these routines, please let me know. I can help!

I expect the students to...

1. Arrive on time.

2. Use their agenda daily.

3. Come prepared with all their material.

4. Ensure they have a French and an English novel to read at all times.

I expect the students to...

1. Use their agenda and show it to you.

2. Read in French and/or English on a daily basis.

3. Discuss something they enjoyed about their day or something new learned in class.

4. Be curious and explore something on their own.

5. Go to bed early.

Student Expectations

Agenda

I expect the students to:

1. Write down incomplete work to finish at home and cross off or highlight what has been completed afterwards.

2. Ask for a parent's signature every night, after showing you their agenda.

Using an agenda/planner is a very important skill. The more we work together on this, the more your child will feel supported at home and at school.

Spoken French

I expect the students to:

1. Speak French with their classmates and teacher.

2. Self-evaluate on a daily basis, with the use of their agenda, using a system of their choice.

Parents Expectations

I expect my students' parents to...

1. Be supportive.

2. Be respectful, in person and in writing. Please avoid using social media (Facebook, Twitter and such) to discuss your concerns. Come see me directly.

3. Keep an open mind and be curious when unsure about something we are doing in class.

4. Set up an appointment if willing to speak to me about a specific issue. I need quiet time before school starts to set up and brief meetings often take longer than anticipated.

If you would like to spend time with us in class, let me know. Our door is always open!
